Mattress removal and disposal: what are your options?

Published

You can take a mattress to a household recycling centre if you have a suitable vehicle, or have it collected. Mattresses cost more than most items to dispose of legally, so they carry a small extra charge, which is shown clearly when you book with us.

Your options

  • Take it to a household recycling centre yourself (check the local council's rules first).
  • Book a single item collection from LoadUp Liverpool.
  • Add it to a load size booking if other items are going too.

What a collection includes

We carry it from any room or floor, load it and take it to a licensed site, with a waste transfer note. Collections start, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
